Biography Education and Employment: • 2015-present: PhD candidate in Bioengineering-Cell Therapies and Regenerative Medicine at Stem Cell Engineering Research group (SCERG), Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences (iBB) – Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal; • 2014-2015: Research assistant at 3B’s Research Group – University of Minho, Portugal; • 2011-2013: MSc in Biomedical Engineering – Instituto Superior Técnico – University of Lisbon, Portugal; • 2008-2011: BSc in Biomedical Engineering – Instituto Superior Técnico – University of Lisbon, Portugal. Research interests: • Design and fabrication of micro/nano biomaterial scaffolds to guide stem cell differentiation; • Bioreactor approaches to study biophysical stimuli involved in stem cell culture and differentiation; • Stem cell bioengineering for regenerative medicine applications. PhD project: Hierarchical scaffolds integrated with 3D extruded bioreactors for cartilage repair. Other interests: Travelling to new places and practise sports, mainly soccer.
