Biography 2017-current: : Research Associate, Laboratory of Dr. Robert Linhardt , Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 2010-2017: Research Associate, Laboratory of Dr. Wilfredo Colón, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 2009-2010: Post-doc Research Associate, Laboratory of Dr. Wilfredo Colón, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 2005-2009: Research Assistant, Laboratory of Dr. Wilfredo Colón, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 2001-2004: Research Assistant, Laboratory of Xinhai Sheng, Peking University. Education Education Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA 2009 Master of Science in Chemistry, Peking University, China 2004 Bachelor of Engineering in Material Sci. & Eng., Donghua University, China 2001 Research Regarding technical expertise, I am an expert of proteomics including sample preparation (from extremophiles to human plasma and embryonic stem cells), 2D gel, LC/MS/MS, MALDI, biomarker discovery and bioinformatics (including Data Mining). I am also an expert of protein biophysics measurements including but not limited to stop-flow, CD, fluorescence, capillary electrophoresis. I have broad background in hyper-stable (kinetically stable) proteins research. I am the major developer and leading author of the D2D PAGE method we proposed to use as a major method for identifying hyper-stable proteins. I also successfully applied that method on more than a dozen systems and generated multiple publications. Awards and Academic Honors W. H. Bauer Doctoral Prize in Chemistry, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 2009 Winner of the Change the World Challenge, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 2010 Winner of the Change the World Challenge, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 2009 DANKONG Scholarship, Peking University, 2003
